Fish Oil- a pill worth swallowing?

Recent evidence based studies have found that fish oil supplements may not be beneficial in cardiovascular events in patients with risk-factors vs. patients not on supplements.  One reason is because these patients were already well controlled with medication.  This is in contrast to early studies.  Based on current evidence based studies, it does not seem paramount to recommend a fish oil supplement.

However, people should still include fish in their diet twice a week as part of a healthy diet.
