Erin Andersen’s Current Career, from her perspective:
I am excited to focus my career on Sports Nutrition, combining both my professional and personal interests. My passion remains wellness, sports, and health promotion through a mind-body approach to nutrition. As an avid runner, I have overcome many physical challenges which I use to motivate others to reach their personal goals. This year I competed in the Broad Street Run, ODDyssey Half Marathon and various 5ks; and focus my training on long distance running. My expertise in nutrition has allowed me to perform better and improve in training. Being a runner myself is an asset for counseling athletes to tailor a nutrition program to their specific sport and lifestyle. Minoring in psychology and pursuing continuing education in behavioral nutrition counseling contributes to my success in assessing readiness to change and motivating clients.
